Challenge: Impact Film Fund was collaborating with Funny Or Die, The Great Schlep, and a collection of performers to put together an Inaugural Party to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama. The event included a number of musical performers and celebrities performing on stage and required a background loop of motion graphics and videos that would accompany their performances. The event also required a number of signs and banners to be printed to help brand the event.
Solution: Working with another video editor, I helped establish a motion graphics style the could be utilized to give videos from Impact Film Fund, Funny or Die, and The Great Schlep a unified look and feel. The style incorporated a rough, distressed, and slightly cartoonized style that lent itself to the great humor that most of the videos contained.
